ZocDoc, a New York-based provider of physician finder and appointment booking services, has raised $25 million in new Series C funding from Goldman Sachs. It previously held a $50 million first close in a round led by DST Global, and before that raised more than $15 million from Khosla Ventures and Founders Fund. www.zocdoc.com

 

Business Insider, a New York-based financial blogging network, has raised $7 million in new VC funding. Institutional Venture Partners led the round, and was joined by return backers like RRE Ventures and Allen & Co. www.businessnsider.com

 

FirstFuel Software, a provider of commercial building energy usage analytics, has raised $2.4 million in first-round funding from Battery Ventures and Nth Power. www.firstfuel.com

 

Independa Inc., a San Diego-based provider of telehealth solutions for the elderly living independently, has raised $1.6 million in seed funding from Miramar Venture Partners and City Hill Ventures. The company also raised $200,000 in debt funding from Silicon Valley Bank. www.independa.com

 

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 22

Rearden Commerce, a Foster City, Calif.-based provider of ecommerce solutions, has raised $133 million in new VC funding. Citi was joined by return backers American Express and JPMorgan Chase. Part of the proceeds will be used to acquire HOmeRun.com, a social buying and group commerce platform. The company previously raised around $240 million from firms like Amex, JPM, Empire Capital Partners, Foundation Capital and Oak Investment Partners. www.reardencommerce.com

Adchemy Inc., a Redwood City, Calif.–based provider of online ad targeting solutions, has raised $61 million in Series E funding. Microsoft led the round as part of a larger strategic partnership, and was joined by return backers August Capital and Mayfield Fund. No word on existing shareholder Hellman & Friedman. The company previously raised over $55 million. www.adchemy.com

GrubHub, a Chicago-based mobile service for ordering for delivery and takeout from restaurants, has raised $50 million in Series E funding. Lightspeed Venture Partners led the round, and was joined by Mesirow Financial, Greespring Associates and return backers Benchmark Capital and DAG Ventures. Most of the proceeds will be used to acquire smaller rival Dotmenu Inc. www.grubhub.com

JustFabulous, an El Segundo, Calif.-based fashion brand and retail site led by Kimora Lee Simmons, has raised $33 million in Series A funding. Matrix Partners led the round, and was joined by Technology Crossover Ventures. TCV also is an investor in Intelligent Beauty, which incubated JustFabulous. www.justfabulous.com

Simpirica Spine Inc., a San Carlos, Calif.-based developer of flexion-restricting stabilization devices for the spine, has raised $22 million in Series C funding. Norwest Venture Partners led the round, and was joined by return backers De Novo Ventures and U.S. Venture Partners. www.simpirica.com

Aventura HQ, a Denver-based company that lets clinicians access clinical data from end-point devices, has raised more than $13 million in its first round of institutional funding. HLM Venture Partners and Excel Venture Management co-led the round, and were joined by Siemens Venture Capital. www.aventurahq.com

DataStax, a Burlingame, Calif.-based, provider of NoSQL solutions has raised $11 million in Series B funding. Crosslink Capital led the round, and was joined by return backer Lightspeed Venture Partners. www.datastax.com

Neo Technology, a Menlo Park, Calif.-based NOSQL database company for the enterprise, has raised $10.6 million in Series A funding. Fidelity Growth Partners Europe led the round, and was joined by seed backers Sunstone Capital and Conor Venture Partners. www.neotechnology.com

CardioKinetix Inc., a Menlo Park, Calif.-based developer of a trans-catheter implant, has raised $44 million in tranched Series E funding. SV Life Sciences and New Leaf Venture Partners co-led the round, and were joined by return backers U.S. Venture Partners, J.P. Vidyo Inc., a Hackensack, N.J.-based provider of personal telepresence solutions, has raised $22.5 million in Series D funding. QuestMark Partners led the round, and was joined by fellow return backers Menlo Ventures, Rho Ventures, Star Ventures and Four River Group. Visible Measures, a Boston-based provider of an analytics and ad platform for social video, has raised $13 million in Series D funding. DAG Ventures led the round, and was joined by Advance Publications and return backers General Catalyst Partners, Mohr Davidow Ventures, and Northgate Capital. www.visiblemeasures.com
Krux Digital, a San Francisco-based provider of consumer Internet data management solutions, has raised $11 million in new VC funding co-led by Accel Partners and IDG Ventures. www.kruxdigital.com

Zymeworks Inc., a Vancouver-based developer of antibodies and protein-based therapeutics, has raised C$8.1 million in new VC funding. CTI Life Sciences led the round, and was joined by Advanced Biotechnologies Venture Fund. www.zymeworks.com

Dashlane, a New York-based startup that wants to “remove unnecessary friction” people experience on the web, has raised $5 million in Series A funding co-led by Rho Ventures and FirstMark Capital. www.dashlane.com

800App, a Chinese provider of online CRM solutions, has raised in Series B funding. Salesforce.com was joined by return backer Sierra Ventures. www.800app.com

MinuteKey, a Boulder, Colo.-based maker of a self-service key duplication machine, has raised an undisclosed amount of growth equity funding. Serent Capital led the round, and was joined by Matrix Partners. www.minutekey.com

Silver Tail Systems Inc., a London-based provider of predictive analytics for detection and prevention of online fraud and abuse, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from CIti Ventures. The company recently raised $20 million in Series B funding from Andreessen Horowitz, Leapfrog Ventures, Seraph Group and StartUp Capital Ventures. www.silvertailsystems.com

Stitcher, a San Francisco-based provider of personalized Internet talk radio, has raised $10 million in Series C funding. New Enterprise Associates led the round, and was joined by return backers Benchmark Capital, New Atlantic Ventures and Ron Conway. www.stitcher.com

Intelleflex Inc., a Santa Clara, Calif.-based provider of on-demand data visibility solutions, has raised $9 million in new Series A funding. It previously held an $11.5 million first close. Sailthru, a New York-based company that “tailors email, web and advertising content to unique users,” has raised $8 million in Series A funding. Practice Fusion, a San Francisco-based electronic records management and healthcare community, has raised over $6 million in new funding from backers like Western Technology Investors. Top10, a London-based social discovery and recommendation engine, has raised $3.5 million in Series A funding. Accel Partners led the round, and was joined by Founder Collective, Idealab and Forward Venture Partners. www.top10.com

Bobber Interactive, a Seattle-based provider of a game-based cash management tool, has raised $1.4 million in Series A funding. Peak6 Investments led the round, and was joined by Dove Capital Partners. www.bobberinteractive.com

One on One Ads Inc., a Mahwah, N.J.-based provider of automated video creation and insertion for online and mobile, has raised an undisclosed amount of Series A funding from OmniCapital. www.oneononeads.com

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 20

HelioVolt Corp., an Austin, Texas-based maker of PV solar cells out of copper indium gallium selenide, has raised $50 million from SK Innovation, as part of a larger technology collaboration and manufacturing partnership. HelioVolt previously raised over $150 million from Morgan Stanley, New Enterprise Associates, Masdar Clean Tech Fund, Paladin Capital Group and Noventi Ventures.www.heliovolt.com

Tokai Pharmaceuticals, a Cambridge, Mass.-based drug company focused on treating prostate cancer, has raised $23 million in Series D-3 funding. Return backers include Novartis Venture Fund and Apple Tree Partners. www.tokaipharma.com

ArcSoft Inc., a Fremont, Calif.–based provider of multimedia software and embedded imaging technologies, has raised $20 million in new VC funding from Intel Capital and Tudor Ventures.www.arcsoft.com

Skorpios Technologies, an Albuquerque, N.M.-based developer of composite silicon photonic technology, has raised $19 million in Series B funding. Strategic investors Ericsson and Nokia Siemens Networks were joined by return backers Cottonwood Technology Fund and Sun Mountain Capital.www.skorpiosinc.com

eASIC Corp., a Santa Clara, Calif.-based fabless maker of zero mask-charge ASIC chips, has raised $12.5 million in Series H funding, according to VentureWire. Intuitive Venture Partners led the rouns, and was joined by return backers Advanced Equities, Crescendo Ventures, Evergreen Partners, Khosla Ventures and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. www.easic.com

TrustYou, a Manhattan Beach, Calif.-based provider of social media monitoring and semantic technologies for the online reviews and social commerce space, has raised $5 million in Series A funding. Credit Agricole Private Equity led the round. Vermont Farmstead Cheese Co., a South Woodstock, Vt.-based artisanal cheese and dairy company, has raised $2.5 million in Series A funding. No investor information was disclosed.www.vermontfarmstead.com

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 19 

One Kings Lane, a San Francisco-based flash sales site for home goods, has raised $40 million in new VC funding. Tiger Global Management led the round, and was joined by return backers Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers and Greylock Partners. www.onekingslane.com

Kythera Biopharmaceuticals Inc., a Calabasas, Calif.-based developer of aesthetic medicines, has raised $37.4 million in Series D funding. Foley Ventures and Latham and Watkins were joined by return backers ARCH Venture Partners, Prospect Venture Partners, JAFCO, Partner Funds management, INVUS Financial Advisors, BBT Capital Management/Apothecary Capital and Altitude Life Science Ventures. Xinhua Travel, a Chinese online tourism company, has raised over $23 million in VC funding led byMilestone Capital.

ActivePath, a New York-based provider of interactive email and messaging solutions, has raised $10 million in new VC funding. Battery Ventures and GIMV co-led the round, and were joined by return backer Genesis Partners. www.activepath.com

Light-Based Technologies Inc., a Vancouver-based provider of control and power electronic solutions for LED-based solid-state lighting, has raised US$7.5 million in Series B funding co-led by VantagePoint Venture Partners and Chrysalix Energy Venture Capital. www.lightbased.com

CrowdTwist, a New York-based social loyalty and rewards platform, has raised $6 million in Series A funding. Softbank Capital and Fairhaven Capital co-led the round, and were joined by Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments and Kbs+p Ventures. www.crowdtwist.com

NuScriptRx, a Nashville, Tenn.-based mail order institutional pharmacy, has raised $8 million in Series C funding led by Council Capital. The company also secured a $5 million credit facility from Square 1 Bank.
