Bain Capital and Hellman & Friedman have agreed to buy Securitas Direct, a Sweden-based building alarm maker, from EQT Partners for up to $3.4 billion. A rival bid reportedly was made by Stanley Black & Decker and The Carlyle Group. EQT took Securitas private in 2008 for $1.6 billion. www.securitas.com

CapMan has agreed to acquire a 76% stake in Solera AS, an Oslo-based importer and distributor of alcoholic beverages in the Nordic Region. No financial terms were disclosed for the deal, which is expected to close in August. www.capman.se

THURSDAY, JUNE 23

The Carlyle Group has agreed to acquire the RAC roadside assistance unit of Aviva PLC for £1 billion.www.carlyle.com

GTCR has partnered with radio executive Randy Michaels to purchase three radio stations from Emmis Communications Corp. for $110 million. Two of the stations serve the Chicago market (WKQX-FM and WLUP-FM), while the other is in New York (WRXP-FM). www.gtcr.com

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 22

Charterhouse Capital Partners is in talks to acquire V.Ships, a UK-based ship-servicing company, from Exponent Private Equity for around $500 million, according to the FT. Lazard is managing the auction.www.vships.com

FedCap Partners has acquired a minority stake in Global Analytic Information Technology Services LLC, a Fairfax, Va.–based provider of IT, energy technology and cybersecurity solutions to the Department of Energy and other federal government customers. No financial terms were disclosed. www.gaits.com

Windjammer Capital Investors has acquired Protective Industries Inc. (“Capplugs”), a Buffalo, N.Y.-based maker of plastic protection products, from ShoreView Capital Partners. No financial terms were disclosed.www.windjammercapital.com

TUESDAY, JUNE 21

American Industrial Partners has agreed to acquire the global hardwoods and industrial products business of Weyerhaeuser Co. No financial terms were disclosed. Once the acquisition closes, the newly-independent business will be known as Northwest Hardwoods Inc., and will be based in Tacoma, Washington. www.aipartners.com

DEI Holdings Inc. (OTC BB: DEIX) shareholders have approved a $4.46 per share buyout by Charlesbamk Capital Partners. Capital and OPY Credit Corp. have committed debt financing for the deal, which is expected to close within the next few days.. DEI is a Vista, Calif.-based maker of loudspeakers for home theaters. www.charlesbank.com

Novacap has acquired a majority stake in iWeb Group Inc., a provider of Internet hosting services and IT indfrastructure services in over 100 countries. No financial terms were disclosed. DH Capital advised iWeb on the deal. www.novacap.ca

Sun Capital Partners has acquired the assets of Citro America LLC, a Memphis-based fabricator, distributor and installer of architectural glass and aluminum products, out of bankruptcy.www.suncappart.com

MONDAY, JUNE 20

Alinda Capital Partners is in talks to acquire a 10% stake in British airport operator BAA from Spanish infrastructure firm Ferrovial, according to the Sunday Times. The position has been for sale since last fall, and is expected to fetch around €200 million. www.alindacap.com

CarePoint Partners, an infusion therapy provider owned by Waud Capital Partners, has acquired the infusion business of ArTex Medical Inc., which has operations in Texas and Louisiana. No financial terms were disclosed. www.carepointpartners.com

Cover FX, a Toronto-based maker of dermatology-inspired cosmetics, has received an undisclosed amount of private equity funding from Catterton Partners. www.coverfx.com

J.C. Flowers & Co. is forming a new UK home mortgage company called Castle Trust, pending regulatory approval. No financial terms were disclosed. www.jcflowers.com

Bank of Ireland is in talks with several private equity firms, including TPG Capital, about selling shares as part of a plan to raise €4.2 billion in new capital, according to The Sunday Business Post.

Schutt Sports, a maker of protective sports equipment, has acquired certain football helmet and faceguard assets from Adams USA. No financial terms were disclosed. Schutt Sports is a portfolio company of Platinum Equity. www.schuttsports.com

Sun Capital Partners and Better Capital are in talks to acquire Jane Norman, a troubled British apparel retailer currently controlled by its lenders. www.suncappart.com
