Charts of the Day: Morgan Stanley remains IPO king

June 16, 2011, 12:55 AM UTC

Morgan Stanley (MS) is blowing away the rest of Wall Street, when it comes to underwriting IPOs.

The bank so far this year has underwritten 66 offerings, including today’s blockbuster for Internet radio company Pandora (P). It rises even higher if you include international affiliates, and easily blows away Wall Street rivals like BoA Merrill Lynch (31 offerings) or J.P. Morgan Securities (10 offerings). Morgan Stanley also took the crown last year, but by a much slimmer margin:

Morgan Stanley also leads in terms of aggregate IPO transaction size with more than $33 billion raised, according to Capital IQ. Plus, it still has Groupon to look forward to later this year:
