5G. We've been talking about 5G for a long time. But I don't see 5G on my phone yet. Where are we? How are you guys thinking about it? What's the timeline here? Well first of all, 5G is the continuation of, I think, this tremendous trend where everything is getting connected. And what's happening is now in addition to just the normal things getting connected, phones Computers, all this stuff. Now almost everything is getting technical, every industry is getting disrupted by the fact that their getting connected. So healthcare is like that. Automobile is like that. The industrial Internet is like that. Those businesses are fundamentally changing because they are getting connected to the internet. And they are getting connected to the internet through wireless and we are happy to grow that. Now with 5G We're building things from the ground up to enable, not just improvements in mobile, but also the ability to make these new industries, have them take advantage of these big trends much more easily. So we gave some examples about that in the keynote. Let's talk a little bit about automotive. All over the show floor here are cars. In every company's booth there are physical like full cars. Right. How are you looking at automotive in 2017? What role does it play? What are we gonna see in the newest models of vehicles? What should we get excited about? Well first of all, the automotive for us, has been a big business for us. We basically work with every automobile company in the world, particularly on telematics, getting them connected to the Internet. But what's happening now is more and more of the technology that we produce in the mobile side is being used in these new features in the car. So I talked about it in the keynote that, basically, the car of tomorrow is more about its brain and less about its brawn. Right. And a lot of that brain is coming from the cellular side. That's one of the reasons why we Give the acquisition with NXP was to give us a real fast start in helping to produce their solutions for our customers. And 5G is actually really important for cars cuz you dont wanna be flying down the highway and see loading Right? Is that the idea? Well also the car itself is consuming and generating a lot of data. The cars of the future, actually not too far distant future, will be connected to the Cloud all the time. And they'll be used not only for things like mapping updates and streaming services. But also just fundamentally to improve the safety and the efficiency of the transportation And the same deal with health care. So, I think you guys just announced a partnership with United Health Care and FitBit I think, same kind of deal, you don't wanna be a loading symbol [ LAUGH ] on your pace maker. Well I think also you want to be very secure and be connected all the time so we did an announcement with United Health Care as well as FitBit and the idea was. If people could be monitoring their health all the time, it encourages good behaviors. And actually, they can actually get money from it. And so what really makes that happen is the fact that it's connected. And it's connected in a secure way, so that you can make a healthcare decision. Or in that case, an insurance decision. So those are the things that are gonna happen, and they're really gonna change the way we live. [ BLANK_AUDIO ]
