What To Expect From Apple’s Q4 Earnings Report

It's been a season of change for Apple whole new device and the Apple watch a shot at credit cards with Apple pay. Oh, and of course, those new, bigger iPhones. But we're yet to find out exactly how the harvest turned out. That is, until later Monday. The company is set to release its fourth quarter earnings results at the close of training. So what to expect? While, according to numerous reports, the Cupertino companies should report sales the neighborhood of $39.85 billion up about 6% from last year numbers USA Today calls strong. Historically value Walk says those numbers come out to earnings of around $1.31 per share and add all indications are that Apple is heading for a blockbuster earnings report. Of course, blockbuster or not, numbers for Apple might not quite be as gaudy as they could have been. We did have Bend Gate and Hair Gate with the iPhone six this last quarter. That was kind of affected earnings, and there was the whole nude celebrity photo leak from iCloud and the whole YouTube free album Kerfuffle. Also, the upper watch hasn't even hit shelves yet with the launch date set for early 2015. On top of all that, the new iPhone six and six plus just one on sale in China Friday and only one on sale in the US less than two weeks before the end of the quarter. Granted, Apple did set records in its first weekend with the new iPhone six line reportedly selling 10 million of devices in just three days. And Fortune notes iPhone sales will be the big news Monday, likely coming in the neighborhood of 38 million sold. Whatever the numbers are, though, they likely won't compare to the numbers the company posts in the first quarter of 2015, according to venture beat. Analysts are predicting revenue of around $63.52 billion.
