Bill Gates has stayed there. Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg has stayed there. Facebook's Sheryl Sandberg has. Stay there. Armanot originally had the idea for the deal and he brought in Vladislav Doronin to help with the financing. They came together in a matter of almost two weeks and then their relationship exploded almost just as quickly, the battle for control of this luxury chain is now the subject of litigation in London and New York. It's an interesting business story. It's a personal conflict. There's a wild series of accusations ranging from you know fraud, intimidation, threats, you know illegal firings, you know coup attempts at the company. It's really an international you know mud fight at this point. [ MUSIC ] They spend less time, checking each other out than two people do before, you know, like an internet date. And it's one of the reasons it goes so wrong. And it's consistently surprising to me working for Fortune, that people do multi- million dollar deals and they don't even know who they are dealing with.
