[ MUSIC ] So with republicans soon to be in control of the Whitehouse and both chambers of congress, many people are predicting that we're gonna see the largest changes to the tax code since the 1980s. Do you agree? I do think there's a real opportunity here for major tax policy changes. Donald Trump Ran on significant tax cuts. The House Republicans have a blueprint that they put out in June that embodies or envisions significant tax cuts. Previously you would have thought the obstacle to that would have been either a Democratic Senate or a Democratic Administration not willing to go along with that. But of course after the election we have a Republican Senate, a Republican President and of course the Republican house so look I think there's a real opportunity there. I think that it is one of the early things that I would expect to see happen with house republicans moving on the blue print or something similar to it. And then goes to the senate where it generally takes 60 votes to do anything of significance. And we'll have to see if there are, the Senate has still not fully decided, but we anticipate between 52 and 53 Senate Republicans at the end of the day. So, are there seven or eight or more set of Democrats that are willing to engage in the conversation about what do we do on tax policy. Are they comfortable with what I would anticipate to be pretty significant. Touch relief, certainly made changes, but I think in that [ INAUDIBLE ] providing significant [ INAUDIBLE ] for tax payers across the board whether that is individual, businesses, large businesses, small businesses, everyone. That's the path of public [ UNKNOWN ] to go down. All right. So, it seem like [ UNKNOWN ] and Donald Trump are gonna kinda kiss and make up and start working together. Do you think that his tax goals are aligned with the Republicans and Congress? I do actually. There are many things about the Trump candidacy that were sort of divergent from traditional Republican orthodoxy, you know, questions on trade or entitlement. But on questions of tax, the Trump tax plan and the Republican blueprint were actually very similar And in many ways, I think the signal the campaign was setting towards the end was, if you really want more detail, the blueprint is a good place to sort of look for additional information about how we would prosecute tax changes. And so on this question, I think the party, the Republicans in the House, the Republicans in the Senate, and now the Republican, soon- to- be Republican In the White House are very aligned in their goals. They are on all fronts want lower rates across the board for the individual at the top income of the tax bracket, bottom tax bracket, all the way across the board and they want to do that even if it means adding a little bit to the deficit. Some people are saying that the people of urban income bracket are going to get more tax relief. Is that something that you expect? Well, obviously the details here matter quite a bit. I think what they will propose will be tax relief for everyone, and they will be talking about rate reduction across the board. How that shakes out, in terms of who benefits more, who benefits less, there are. Of course there are number of ways to measure the benefit. You can measure it absolute dollar terms. You can also measure it in terms of percentage reduction in tax pay. So I suspect that they will try to find a way to market this. So it does not appear that it just some sort of give away. And look if you're cutting taxes for everybody it's pretty easy to pay the compelling case. Of why this will benefit all taxpayers large and small. Wealthy and poor.
