Tesla’s Third-Quarter Deliveries Rise 70%

after making production improvements, cheap released deals and reported discounts on some cars. Tesla Motors says its third quarter deliveries have rose by 70%. The company's over 24,000 cars delivered makes the company closer to meeting the second half of its 2016 goal of 50,000 vehicles. Tesla has been losing money recently, so the uptick in deliveries is a sign of relief for a company planning to raise funds from the equity market later this year for building out its Model three sedan factory, due out in late 2017. Tesla began advertising showroom and test driving cars in September at favorable prices and ready for expedited delivery. Chief executive officer of the company Elon Musk then published a memo in late September telling employees to follow company policy and to not offer discounts for new cars.
