Research by IBIs World chose the meditation and mindfulness industry brought in nearly one billion in 2015, and that number doesn't even include the revenue generated from the nearly 1000 mindfulness apps on the market or from wearable tech. Like the muse connected headband take headspace, the mindfulness industry's top app, which has been downloaded six million times, and Gardner 30 million in 2016. More than 20% of employers plan to offer mindfulness training, which generally cost somewhere between 510 grand for a large group. And a forthcoming survey by Fidelity Investments and the National Business Group of Health suggests that number could double in 2017. While it's unclear how it's working now for trainees, what the mindfulness industry has achieved is undeniable.
