Lady Gaga announced via Twitter that she will be performing at halftime during Super Bowl 51 on February 5th, 2017. It's not an illusion. The rumors are true this year. And NFL spokesman said that they only cover expenses and production costs and confirmed that the league does not pay the halftime performers.
