You have some specific advice for people in the room. You've written that if your industry has a lot of data that AI can transform that data into value, but you need a Chief AI Officer. Is that a real suggestion for the room? Yeah it is. So you know If you have a lot of data and you want to figure out how to create value for that data, one of the things you might consider is building up an AIT. I think maybe in the IT industry when mobile devices Were a thing, right. Five, six years ago with the rise of. Actually, maybe here's different than IG. I say, AI is the new electricity. About 100 years ago, a lot of corporations are [ UNKNOWN ] this person called the VP of electricity. And it sounds ridiculous today. Why would I hire a vice president to manage my electricity for me? Well, 100 years ago, electricity was really complicated. Do you want AC power or DC power? How do you tradeoff cause versus reliability? Do you want it from nearby pond or further one? Do you wanna just put in lice, or do you wanna put in lice and electric motors? And how are you gonna organize is really complicated electricity thing? So the VP of Electricity played a really critical role 100 years ago Until it became more common and that's understood in this world kind of went away. How do I find this person? Because, listening to you I'm skeptical that just because somebody studied machine learning with you at Standford that they're going to be a good business leader inside my company or inside these Peoples companies. How does anyone that studies machinery understand to be hired. They're all taken. They have jobs already. [ LAUGH ] I do think that these leaders need to be a pretty special types of people. I think the ability to run more cross functionally to not just appreciate the shiny technology we all left shiny technology, but to have the cross functional and business skills to figure how to take the shiny technology and contextualize it for your business. One things about AI is that It really needs to be customized for your contacts and for. your data. You can" t just download open- source and apply it to your organization. So this is why there's a talent wall for AI, because it takes that talent to come in and see what your actually doing to and figure how to use your data, the true value
