Is it time for the market to crash?

If you've been waiting for the market to crash, you've been kept waiting for a while. Yeah, it's been just over 1300 days or 3.5 years since stocks have dropped at least 10%. That's about nine months before the iPhone five came out and about two years before Children everywhere started saying, Let it go. Wall Street, even in the best of times, tends to have speed bumps. There are only two other times in recent history that we've got on this long without some sort of bang up. But just because we're overdue for a crash doesn't mean we'll have one. Back in the 19 nineties, the market went seven years without a market pullback. That's twice as much as the current run and feeding this bull market. It's the fact that the market was pretty low in 2000 and nine, when stocks started charging, but it hasn't been a complete joy. Reid stocks dipped twice in the past year. It's only been around 190 days since the last time stocks were down 7% but there have been dozens of other times the market has gone on this long without that type of dip. Generally, the market follows the economy, which is improving, and interest rates, which are low, both good things for stocks. So even if it crashes out there on the horizon, we've got some pretty good protection for the next few miles. Yeah.
