August is a smart lock where you you know, your co founder and you helped design that. How did you think of the August name and go through that initial process of designing it So August? You know, we had a big vision right from the start about 2.5 3 years ago when Jason Johnson and I, my co founder, got together. Um, you know, the vision was to solve the last, you know, 3 ft into the home. Um, you know, just like uber or just like Airbnb. So this tremendous opportunity to create a new business model to create, uh, to enable new types of behavior, uh, and experiences by, you know, providing access to somebody's private car or to somebody's private home. We believe it's the same. It's the same for somebody who wants to deliver something to you. Uh, it's the same for somebody who wants to provide a service into your home you need as an owner, you need full visibility and access and control over your door. Um, and, um, as a visitor, you know, you need to know that that's awareness is there, and it needs to be very easy. easy to use on both on both sides. So we started with the door locked because the door lock is essentially, it's like a robot. It's a robot that opens and closes your door as you get, you know, in proximity, you can issue keys easily. Um, and, um, we developed a magic feature. You know, for me, which I experienced, uh, several times a day, which, as I come close to the door, automatically unlocks. I don't have to use my phone. And I don't have to, um, you know, look for keys, but every decision we made from the start in terms of the technology, the sensors, the communication protocols, security protocols that we're gonna use was meant to enable that magic moment. It wasn't just to make a smart lock. It was really to enable, um that you know that moment of delight Every time I come home
