A campaign group called Action On Sugar examined the sugar content in more than 130 drinks at different chains across the U. K.. And seven of the 34 Starbucks drinks analyzed made the groups top ten. Which is one list companies probably don't wanna top. In the number one spot, is a venti sized version of the Starbucks Grape Mulled Fruits with chai, orange, and cinnamon. While the American Heart Association recommends up to nine teaspoons of sugar for men per day and up to six for women, that drink contains 25 teaspoons or 99 grams alone. Other Starbucks drinks labeled worst offenders include the Venti White Chocolate Mocha with whipped cream, with about 20 teaspoons of sugar per serving. And a Venti Signature Hot Chocolate contains roughly 18 teaspoons of sugar. A Starbucks spokesperson is quoted in the study by saying, earlier this year, we committed to reduce Added sugar in our indulgent drinks by 25 % by the end of 2020.
