Yay. Hi, I'm Steven Gandell from Fortune Magazine, and I'm here in Davos, Switzerland, at the World Economic Forum, the Global Confab for the Elite. And I'm here with. Nicola Gretchen. I'm the CEO of Gastromotiva. And, why are you here? So, we're here to raise awareness against food waste. So, we have a huge issue in the world because we waste 30 % to 40 % of the food along our valid chain. And we could actually feed the whole world with the food we waste. So we have a solution at hand. And you're trying to show the global elite what your solution is here this week. Yes. What are you doing? So we've been cooking actually. Cooking? Yes, we've been cooking with food surplus that we brought from Zurich and then they bring pounds actually from Davos. And we've been serving free meals in front of the CNBC Church, the trade ships church, and we talk to people. We mention how they can change habits. And they can reduce food waste in their own households. But yet as well how these leaders can change something on a global scale. And yesterday you were here cooking Nepalese stew, right? Yes, absolutely. With brown carrots and lentils from broken bags and potatoes that were sprouting. And I had it, and you cooked in a cauldron here over a bar in the snow, and it was delicious. Yes. And you guys, and the global elite, right? They can eat anything, did they come for the food? Absolutely, it was huge. More people, I mean it exceeded our expectations. People came, were interested, loved the food. There were comments that it was the best food in [ UNKNOWN ] which is food that would have been in a landfill by now. So we just recuperated, put our creativity of the chefs into it and brought out a delicious, healthy meal for everyone. And you've been working with some chefs? Yes, so this week we've been cooking with Jamie Oliver who's part of a social [ UNKNOWN ] movement. So we wanna make the industry more inclusive and more sustainable. And so Jamie Oliver, Sam [ UNKNOWN ] from the US. We've been working with [ UNKNOWN ] Chef Patrick Hannover. So it's just been [ INAUDIBLE ] lines of chefs here in [ UNKNOWN ] And you even catered an event, right? Yes. Again, with food waste. Yes, absolutely. And that's the menu there. We showed the program, and when we showed the program of what we were going to do here with CNBC, there's companies that got interested and said, you guys have to cater our event! So, we went to some private nightclubs and catered with food surplus, but really pretty [ UNKNOWN ] it, so people didn't realize. Showed them afterward what it was made from so it was a bit of a shock, but I think it creates a consciousness that we can really do something. And the idea is if we didn't throw away this food wasted, we use it. And you're trying to teach people about how to use this Food waste. We could solve some of our hunger problems. Absolutely we have a solution at hand. And for the past ten years, you've been teaching? Yes, so our main product was really teaching people living in the margins of society, people living in Exclusion, teaching them the art of culinary art. And then integrating them into work. There's a growing hospitality market, so we're just filling the skills gap. They need people, we train people that need an opportunity and so it's just connecting the two worlds. And this year, the past year, you guys were at the Olympics, you were at the World Economic Forum, and you're expanding So we're expanding into different markets as we have the methodology that it works. In any society where you have social exclusion and a growing hospitality market. So we're going, and we're going into Mexico and into South Africa last year. We're going into Argentina and Columbia this year. And let's see what else results. [ CROSSTALK ] And you have some products? In the store. It's pure? Do you wanna try it? Yes, let's give it a try. [ LAUGH ] So this is food waste bananas- Yes, exactly. That you guys are selling. We dehydrated it, and we're gonna start selling them within Refettorio and online soon. To help raise money? To help raise money for our social projects.
