[ MUSIC ] Apple, which released its employee snapshot this week and we learned a little bit more about its efforts to improve diversity. What did we learn? Well we learned that they've hired 11, 000 employees, women employees this year, which is a huge stride and 50 % of the employees that they've hired this year, are either women or people of color, which is a 65 % increase from last year. Now this actually was not only a great week for tech diversity at Apple, following Intel's announcement last week, but you know, HP announced it's To post split boards this week and on each of the boards are four women and two people of color, which is fantastic That's significant, Matt do you think we're seeing a real seat change here? Do you think that all this talk about diversity is actually finally starting to bear fruit? It is trying to feel that way. It's interesting, 20 years ago it would be hard to imagine any kind of moves like this, any presence this intensive That you're seeing from HP of this many women in leadership. I think you have to look back also at the efforts to bring women into the STEM fields at the, early on in high school and college, getting them pursuing these educational directions that can pave the way to working in tech.
