Apple says it recovered more than £2000 of gold and £6000 of silver from iPhones, Ipads and other tech that was turned in as part of its take back initiative, the value of which is in the millions. But remember, Apple is one of the richest companies in the world, so the money isn't improving its bottom line. It is, however, going to help the company in its environmental goals. All of the recovered materials from old devices £61 million last year alone are going to be used to make new devices, Apple says.
