Today, we're chatting about Apple's new iPhone, which is rumored to be released in September, and apparently, comes with a steep price tag. Jeff, is this thing going to be worth the money? JEFF JOHN ROBERTS: Oh, boy. Have you heard? I've heard figures as high as $1,200. $1,000 for sure. At least $1,000 and possibly as high as $1,200. ROBERT HACKETT: That is a lot of moolah. JEFF JOHN ROBERTS: Yeah. Apple's gone too far this time. I think they're really straining their loyalty with the customer base. I mean, we all love Apple. Everyone got to have their iPhone. But I mean, come on. ROBERT HACKETT: Well, hold on. I mean, this thing is going to be stacked with a whole lot of new, interesting, cool technology. They're doing several revamps. I mean, in one part, they're adding a glass full wrap-around screen. And this is all rumors, by the way. They're adding an OLED display versus-- JEFF JOHN ROBERTS: OK. It's got a new screen. Is that worth $1,200? Come on. I mean, this thing had better be able to teleport me or something. ROBERT HACKETT: It's vivid and vibrant. But they've also got some other features that I think are really their home runs here. JEFF JOHN ROBERTS: OK. ROBERT HACKETT: They've got the wireless charger. Again, this is all rumored. Wireless charger. And also apparently, they're adding some facial recognition technology, which can allow you to authenticate yourself [INAUDIBLE] JEFF JOHN ROBERTS: That's cool. That's not $1,200 cool. And on the charging thing, I agree. That could be a killer feature. But guess what, Apple's-- my 6 right now, it's got a horrible battery problem. I wish Apple would fix the stuff they have already. I think people are running out of patience with Apple. ROBERT HACKETT: Well, I mean, maybe this is the product for you then. If your phone is buggy, then you've got to upgrade, right? JEFF JOHN ROBERTS: Pay twice as much for another buggy phone? Come on, man, no. ROBERT HACKETT: Well, Apple is also supposed to announce a few other models. They're going to be less costly. So we're hearing things in the range of $650 to $900. JEFF JOHN ROBERTS: Yeah, I mean 1,200 would be the super duper one with lots of space and all the bells and whistles and stuff. It's still too much though. I think we're past the glory days of Apple when people used to line outside overnight Apple stores to get. But that was in the Steve Jobs era. Under Tim Cook, I mean, there hasn't been a killer new product. And it's slipping. The quality is slipping. ROBERT HACKETT: That's true. This actually could play to Apple's advantage. I mean, they might disincentivize people from buying the really high-end, expensive product, which could maybe allow them to get through some of their production issues that we've heard them talking about off the assembly line. Boy, have you heard? I've heard Figures high $1200. A grand for sure. Least $1000 posses highest 1200. A lot of movies. Yeah, Apple's gone too far this time. I think they're really straining their loyalty with customer base. I mean, we all love Apple ever got out their iPhone, But I mean, come on, we'll hold on. I mean, this thing is gonna be stacked with a whole lot of new, interesting, cool technology. They're doing several revamps. I mean, in one part, they're adding a glassful wraparound screen. This is all rumors, by the way. They're adding an O l e d display. Okay. He's got a new screen that worth, like, $1200. Come on, think better. Able to teleport me stumbling like and vibrant. But they've also got some other features that I think are really the home runs here. Okay, they've got the wireless charger again. This is all rumored wireless charger, and also apparently, they're adding some facial recognition technology will allow you to authenticate yourself. That's cool. That's not $1200. Cool. And on the charging thing, I agree that could be killer future. But guess what? Apple's my my six right now. Got a horrible battery problem. I wish Apple would fix the stuff they have already.
