Amazon Is Suing a Former Executive

Amazon is suing a former executive who left the company to work for target. Last month, Target announced it was hiring 16 year Amazon vet Arthur Valdez to bring the company's outdated tech infrastructure up to speed and helped the store more efficiently fill online orders. But Amazon is not happy about Valdez's move. The online retail giant filed a lawsuit against him to block his employment at Target. Amazon claims a non compete agreement he signed precludes him from working with direct rival companies for at least 18 months. Amazon also claims the former executives shared confidential information with target execs about how Amazon handles orders during the peak holiday season. Target fired back in a statement, saying, We have taken significant precautions to ensure that any proprietary information remains confidential and we believe this suit is without merit.
