A Tesla Model S goes horribly wrong when the electric car burst into flames in France, according to witnesses on the scene. The customer taking the car for the test spin and two others safely exited the vehicle, after a loud noise and the dashboard allegedly warning of a charging error. Soon after, this happens, the vehicle going up in flames according to a post on Reddit. The company, no stranger to safety scrutiny. In 2013, a Tesla caught on fire following a collision causing CEO Elon Musk to take to Twitter, arguing that, quote, had a conventional gasoline car encountered the same object on the highway The result could have been far worse. The root cause of the France Tesla fire hasn't been disclosed but Tesla says that it's investigating the matter.
