Fortune's most powerful women list is a ranking of the top women in business all over the world. We look at the size of that executives, company or profit and loss line in her executive role, her impact on society and the world around her both positive and negative as well as her company's broader impact beyond its own wall. This year for the first time, we have 100 women on the MP W list and it is a combined list of domestic and international executives. Number one for the third consecutive year is Karen Lynch, the CEO of CV S Health CV S Health is the largest company in the world run by a female CEO with 322 billion in revenue. In 2022 the health care system is changing dramatically when we laid out a strategy and we've been very deliberate in the execution of that strategy and, and technology will be an important part. The other top executives on the MP W list include Julie Sweet of accenture, Mary Barra of GM Jane Fraser of Citigroup and Jessica Tan of P. It's really exciting to even be able to have a list of 100 female executives around the world. When you think back to when this franchise started more than 20 years ago, it would have been impossible to find 100 women working at this level in global business. I fundamentally believe that talent is created equally, opportunity is not so intentionality is the only way progress can be done, especially when you're talking about gender and racial gaps. The US has been ahead of other regions when it comes to gender diversity in business and other parts of the world are catching up. This year, 67 women on the NPW list are CEO S 10.4% of fortune 500 companies have female CEO S and that is a record that allows us to bring these 67 CEO S global and domestic onto this list. We have women from finance, tech, retail, energy, health care and more industries. There is a real opportunity for next gen technologies to improve the biggest challenge of our sector, which is the productivity of R and D Discover, develop and invent new medicines and vaccines. It's the most profound challenge of our industry. This year's list has a bit more representation from the luxury industry with Delphine Arne, the CEO of Dior and heiress and potential successor to the LVMH Empire, and Lena Na the new CEO of Chanel who was an outsider who came from Unilever. This year's list includes some women who work at startups rather than established companies. And that speaks to how influential the startups can be on the world stage before they are decades old businesses. It's taken a long time. It's taken 10 years to achieve what we set out in our original vision deck. Um So it has been a long time in the making, but you kind of learn a little more every, every step of the way. Um And every time you achieve a goal, then you be ready and more prepared for the next one. The list has 53 newcomers. We have Linda Yacono, the CEO of X. Formerly Twitter Kim Kardashian is the co founder of Skims and now Sky Partners, a private equity firm, Sue NAVI the CEO of Cody, which is the beauty giant behind brands like Covergirl. She's a trans woman and it's still rare for a trans woman to hold this kind of role in global business. Susan Lee, the CFO of Meta, she got the job in 2022 at 36 years old, which is remarkable given that the average fortune 500 CFO is 53 in the first half of 2023 about 100 CEO S left their jobs and 13% of their replacements were women. That's a huge increase from 2018 when only about 2% of CEO replacements were women that speaks to how women leaders are meeting this moment of rapid societal change and executive turnover. If some of the rapid change of the past few years calms down. We'll see if those doors stay open. But for now, women leaders are ready and able to meet this moment.
