JERSEY CITY, NJ, September 3, 2026 (EZ Newswire) -- Shape Equity Partners, a boutique real estate development firm behind some of Hudson County’s most distinctive, and recent, residential projects, just announced the acquisition of 24 Bright Street, a historic three-unit property in Jersey City.

The acquisition adds to Shape Equity’s growing Jersey City presence and underlines the firm’s interest in properties with unmistakable character and clear potential for improvement.

Located in one of Jersey City’s established residential neighborhoods, 24 Bright Street is expected to include restoration of the building’s facade, preservation of its distinctive street presence, and a rear expansion designed to support modern residential use. The property includes three residential units, including a large three-bedroom unit. Construction is anticipated to begin in Q3 2026.

“Jersey City has a limited number of properties that offer both historic character and a clear path for thoughtful improvement,” said Lorenzo Sargenti, founder of Shape Equity Partners. “With 24 Bright Street, our goal is to preserve what gives the building its identity while improving the way it functions for the people who will ultimately live there.”

A Different Approach to Multifamily Development

24 Bright Street joins Shape Equity Partners’ growing portfolio of boutique residential projects across Jersey City and Hoboken, including The Milano at 305 Third Street and The Chester at 46 Coles Street.

Rather than pursuing scale alone, Shape Equity focused on projects where design, construction decisions, and market positioning can directly shape the long-term value of the asset. The firm’s work centers on selective acquisitions, disciplined execution, and residential product quality in high-barrier-to-entry urban markets.

“Jersey City continues to grow, but growth alone isn’t the full story,” Sargenti added. “The question is what kind of housing gets added to the market. We believe there is a real need for smaller-scale projects that are carefully designed, well-built, and connected to the neighborhoods around them.”

As demand continues across Hudson County for well-located residential products with access to transit, walkability, and neighborhood amenities, Shape Equity Partners plans to continue pursuing projects that add quality housing while respecting the context around them.
