Balogun, who has scored three goals in this year's World Cup tournament, was shown a red card and ejected from last week's U.S. match against Bosnia and Herzegovina after fouling a defender. Under FIFA rules, a red card typically results in an automatic one-game suspension. After FIFA suspended the one-game ban, Balogun was cleared to play in the U.S. men's national team's World Cup Round of 16 match against Belgium on Monday.
