On Monday, President Donald Trump said he asked FIFA to review the red card issued to U.S. star striker Folarin Balogun. Balogun, who has scored three goals in this year's World Cup tournament, was shown a red card and ejected from last week's U.S. match against Bosnia and Herzegovina after fouling a defender. Under FIFA rules, a red card typically results in an automatic one-game suspension. After FIFA suspended the one-game ban, Balogun was cleared to play in the U.S. men's national team's World Cup Round of 16 match against Belgium on Monday.
