Europe's Largest Companies

The corporations on our annual list of Europe's 500 largest companies combined to generate $15.5 trillion in revenue in 2025, up 4.0% from the previous year. Together, they employ 34.6 million people across 23 countries and 21 sectors, and their revenue is equivalent to half of Europe's GDP. The Fortune 500 Europe earned just over $1 trillion in profit, up 3.0% from the prior year. Volkswagen topped the ranking for the third year running, with Shell in second place, while the minimum revenue needed to make the list climbed from $6.3 billion to $7.4 billion.
