University of Southern California applicants don’t need to submit GMAT or GRE scores to be considered for admission to its online data science master’s program, however, international students must submit a TOEFL score. Accepted students, on average, have a 3.8 undergraduate GPA. Letters of recommendation are optional to apply. The acceptance rate to the program was 13% for the 2021-2022 year.

University of California—Berkeley applicants don’t need to submit a GMAT or GRE score to be considered for admission into its master of information and data science program. The UC Berkeley Graduate Division requires that international applicants submit TOEFL or IELTS scores. Two letters of recommendation are required for the program.

3. Bay Path University

Bay Path University doesn’t require applicants to submit GMAT or GRE scores to qualify for admission to its online master of science in applied data science program. For the 2021-2022 year, accepted students, on average, had a 3.5 undergraduate GPA and three years of work experience. International applicants aren’t required to submit TOEFL scores. Most Affordable Master’s in Data Science in 2022-23

Data scientists are in high demand, and therefore, pathways to learning data skills are more and more available. One way to get into a data science career is to earn a master’s degree—and while graduates regularly see six-figure salaries—the initial cost of school can be significant. That’s why Fortune has put together the top 15 most affordable in-person master’s degree programs in data science. For our methodology, we used the total tuition amounts programs provided us for our Best Master’s in Data Science Degrees in 2022 list. If schools did not provide a total tuition amount, we calculated total tuition by multiplying the minimum credits required to complete the program by the cost per credit amount. Costs per credit were either provided by schools or taken from the school’s program webpage.

Those applying to New College of Florida’s master’s degree program in data science are not required to submit GRE or GMAT scores to qualify. No letters of recommendation are required and international students must submit TOEFL or IELTS scores, or have a qualifying academic record.
