HSBC Bank issues one of the most feature-packed deposit accounts in existence: The HSBC Premier checking account. And with an unusually generous intro bonus (up to $3,000, depending on the new cash and securities you deposit), the account is an attention-grabber for multiple reasons.

HSBC has refreshed Premier checking with meaningful upgrades to its benefits lineup—making it, in our opinion, more compelling than ever. Here’s what you need to know about its latest improvements.

What’s new about the HSBC Premier relationship

The HSBC Premier relationship comes with several valuable perks, some of which are either new or enhanced. As a Premier customer, you can take advantage of:

  • Wealth: Get access to a variety of investment solutions through HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. (Investments are not FDIC Insured; are not a deposit or other obligation of the bank and may lose value.)
  • Health: Enjoy the support of a health and wellness concierge service, plus complimentary membership to 24/7 telemedicine services for you and your family.
  • Travel: HSBC credit cards come with a competitive range of rewards and benefits that complement your lifestyle.
  • International: Manage your finances around the world with Premier privileges in select countries, perfect for global lifestyles.

Notably, its health benefits are a new addition—and its credit card perks have been elevated in a big way with boosted rewards and new statement credits (you must have an HSBC Premier checking account to open an HSBC credit card).

Another standout feature: the tiered welcome bonus of up to $3,000. Your earnings will depend on the amount of new assets you deposit (defined as cash and securities not previously held at HSBC).
