This is Fortune 500 Power Moves, a weekly column tracking executive shifts—from appointments and promotions to resignations and retirements—within the highest ranks of Fortune 500 companies.

Below is a recap of the C-suite developments at America’s highest-revenue-generating companies announced between March 15-21, 2025, organized by sector. Titles included in this roundup: CFOs (Chief Financial Officers), COOs (Chief Operating Officers), CTOs (Chief Technology Officers), CIOs (Chief Information Officers), and Chief People Officers. We also include CEOs (Chief Executive Officers), CMOs (Chief Marketing Officers), CHROs (Chief Human Resources Officers), and Chief Customer Officers when there are Power Moves within the Fortune 500 announced pertaining to those roles.

Energy

  • NextEra Energy (No. 152) announced that EVP and CFO Brian Bolster is leaving the company and will succeed Rebecca Kujawa as President and CEO of NextEra Energy Resources, a subsidiary of NextEra Energy, effective May 22. Mike Dunne, treasurer of NextEra Energy, will become the company’s next CFO. Kujawa is retiring.
  • American Electric Power (No. 217) announced that EVP, CIO, and CTO Therace M. Risch is resigning from the company, effective April 1. A successor has yet to be announced.
  • NOV (No. 444) promoted Jose Bayardo, senior vice president and CFO, to the new role of President and COO, effective immediately. Rodney Reed, the President of NOV Process Flow Technologies, has replaced Bayardo as CFO.

Technology

  • Microsoft (No. 13) appointed Amy Coleman to Chief People Officer, effective immediately, replacing Kathleen Hogan. Coleman previously served as the company’s Corporate Vice President for Human Resources and Corporate Functions. Hogan will continue to serve as an EVP at Microsoft and will join the new Office of Strategy and Transformation.
