Just two months after she was the talk of March Madness, Caitin Clark is set to make her professional debut.

The WNBA season kicks off Tuesday night and anticipation for the league has never been higher. League revenue last year was up 200% and this year’s draft was the most-watched in its history. Now it has to hang onto those new fans and build on the momentum.

The odds seem to be in its favor. The women’s NCAA tournament averaged 14.82 million viewers—and the final saw more viewers than any basketball game from any league since 2019.

With Clark and former LSU player Angel Reese leading the way, the 2024 season could be red hot—and Tuesday’s kick-off will be closely watched.

Planning to tune in? Here are all the details you need.

When does the WNBA season start?

Tip off for the first game of the 2024 WNBA season is at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday May 14

Which teams are playing Tuesday and what channel are airing those games?

Four games are set for Tuesday:

New York Liberty vs. Washington Mystics, 7:00 p.m. ET on ESPN3 and WNBA League Pass

Indiana Fever vs. Connecticut Sun, 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN2, ESPN+ and Disney+

Phoenix Mercury vs. Las Vegas Aces, 10:00 p.m. ET on ESPN2, ESPN+ and Disney+

Minnesota Lynx vs. Seattle Storm, 10:00 p.m. ET on ESPN3 and WNBA League Pass

How can I watch Caitlin Clark’s first game of the season?

Clark is a point guard for the Indiana Fever. They’ll take on the Connecticut Sun Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. ET. The game will be aired on ESPN2, ESPN+ and Disney+/

What channels will carry WNBA games this season?

Games will be carried by a wide variety of broadcasters, including ESPN, ESPN+, Disney+, Prime Video, ABC, CBS and NBA League pass. Channels will vary from game to game, so your best bet is to check the WNBA website, which details the season’s games and where to find them.

Can I watch the WNBA games online?

There are several online options, many with free trials.

Disney+

Disney’s bundle of Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+ no longer has a free trial, so you’ll have to pay $15 per month for all three combined (or $25 per month for no ads on Hulu).

Including Live TV in the bundle bumps the price to $77 per month ($90 with no ads).

Hulu with Live TV

The free trial on this service is no longer offered, as well. It will now cost you $77 per month.

YouTubeTV

After up to a two-week trial, you can expect monthly charges of $73.

Sling TV

Dish Network’s Sling lower-tiered “Orange” plan will run you $40 per month. Adding the more comprehensive “Blue” plan bumps the cost to $55 per month. The seven-day free trial has disappeared, but the cord-cutting service is offering 50% off of the first month’s bill.

Paramount+

CBS’s streaming service will give you a one-week free trial, followed by a $5 or $10 monthly charge.

DirecTV Stream

Formerly known as DirecTV Now, AT&T TVNow and AT&T TV, this oft-renamed streaming service will run you $75 per month and up after the free trial option.

Fubo TV

This sports-focused cord-cutting service has a seven-day free trial, followed by monthly charges of $75 and up, depending on the channels you choose.

Does the WNBA offer any service for me to watch the games?

It does! WNBA League Pass offers live out-of-market games for $13 per month or $35 for the entire season. You’ll also have access to games on demand and hundreds of archived matches.

Will WNBA games stream on Amazon?

Yes, but not on opening night. The first WNBA game of the season on Amazon will air this Thursday, when New York faces Indiana at 7:00 p.m. ET.
