You’ve decked the halls. You’ve celebrated Thanksgiving. And you’ve rung in the New Year. Quite frankly, you’re getting a little sick of the kitchen.
It’s hard to blame you. With three major holidays in just over five-and-a-half weeks, the amount of food prep many home cooks have gone through is exhausting. So, the thought of starting the new year right back in there is not real appealing.
Whether you’re tired of the oven, just plain tired or looking to quell the hangover from last night’s shenanigans, you’ve got lots of options. A large number of restaurant chains are open on Jan. 1 and welcoming customers.
Note that hours may vary, so it’s always a good idea to call first. And many mom and pop and local eateries will be closed. But if you need to grab a bite, here are a few places to try.
