“Is Twitter dying?”
That was the question posted Saturday by Elon Musk on Twitter, along with a retweet of the top 10 followed Twitter accounts, including that of former U.S. President Barack Obama and pop stars Justin Bieber and Katy Perry.
“Most of these ‘top’ accounts tweet rarely and post very little content,” he added.
Musk just bought a stake in the business. He is now on the company’s board of directors.
He went on to call out pop star Taylor Swift, who has 90.3 million followers but follows no one, for not tweeting in 3 months, and Bieber for only posting once so far this year.
Musk is No. 8 on the list of most-followed Twitter users that he retweeted, with 81 million followers. He came in just under Lady Gaga, who has nearly 85 million.
