What’s the next “big idea” for the new decade we are entering? Fortune 500 CEOs came up with a range of exciting innovations we could see between now and 2030.

Tech breakthroughs were top of mind for several CEOs. “Technology is going to allow us to forget about the restraints of time,” says UPS CEO David Abney. He pictures a world where faster airplanes, autonomous vehicles, and AI will allow the delivery of products quicker than ever before.

Lisa Su, CEO of Advanced Micro Devices gets animated talking about a “connected everything” future. “Your health, your work, your office, your car, your data, all will come together in the same place so you can use it,” she explains.

Affordable healthcare is the hope for Biogen CEO Michel Vounatsos. “Once and for all, let’s move away from the fee for service in medicine and medical practice,” he says. “And let’s think about population health.”

Health and wellness are the new focus at Nestle, and CEO Mark Schneider expects significant changes in the future of nutrition. “This is the decade where personalized nutrition will come to fruition,” he predicts. “You’ll be able to tell what is your ideal food and drink for dinner based on what you had for lunch and breakfast.”

And imagine a world where diversity and inclusion are no longer issues for people everywhere. That’s the new reality Otis Elevator CEO Judy Marks is hoping for: “Ten years from now I’m hoping and putting all my efforts forward that we’re not talking about diversity because we’ve achieved equality. Across the world. Across the board. And we don’t have to focus or talk about it anymore.”
