The rug really ties the room together.
Jeff Bridges and wife Susan Geston are putting their four-acre ranch in Montecito, Calif on the market. The compound, which houses five separate structures, carries an asking price of just shy of $8 million.
If they sell for that price, it will be a tidy profit from the $6.85 million they paid for the property five years ago.
The estate is in one of California’s toniest neighborhoods. Neighbors include Oprah Winfrey’s 66-acre “Promised Land” estate and cosmetics tycoon Jamie Kern Lima.
The property, which is being listed by Sally Hanseth of Coldwell Banker, features a three bedroom, two bath house built in 1919 by architect James Osborne Craig. With hardwood floors and a recently renovated kitchen, it has a master suite with open beamed ceilings and a teak floored master bath.
You’ll also get a pool house with a family room, office and sauna; a five-stall barn and other horse facilities; landscaped lawns and gardens and a butterfly garden with a pond. There’s also a private well that’s part of the equestrian facilities.
Bridges’ home is hardly cheap, but it’s a lot less than other recent celebrity real estate offerings, including Warren Buffett’s San Clemente, Calif estate, which had at $63.5 million asking price, or the $350 million Beverly Hillbillies estate.
