Hillary Clinton Now Leads Donald Trump in the Popular Vote by More Than 2 Million

Hillary Clinton’s lead over Donald Trump in the popular vote has ballooned to more than 2 million.

Clinton has 64,223,958 votes, compared to Trump’s 62,206,395 votes, as of early Wednesday, according to the nonpartisan Cook Political Report. Last week, Clinton’s lead in the popular vote surpassed 1 million

Trump won the White House on Nov. 8 by securing more than the necessary 270 Electoral College votes. The President-elect has appeared to go back and forth on his stance on the Electoral College. Trump told the New York Times on Tuesday that he would “rather do the popular vote” and was “never a fan of the Electoral College… until now.”
