How to Get $20 Off an Amazon Prime Subscription

If you’ve been wanting an Amazon Prime Subscription but aren’t willing to pay $99, there’s good news: Starting tomorrow, new members can sign up for $79—a price that will save you about 20% on the first year’s annual membership fee.

But if you’re interested, act fast: The discount is only available for one day. According to Amazon (AMZN), the deal begins Friday at 12:00am ET and ends at 11:59pm PT. You can sign up here when it goes live at midnight.

The promotion is in light of The Grand Tour—Amazon’s original 12-week series that stars Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May. The first episode premieres tomorrow on Amazon Prime Video.

For those unfamiliar with Amazon Prime, a memberships gets you free two-day shipping, access to TV shows and movies on Prime Video, the option to read books and magazines through Prime Reading, and the ability to stream music through Prime Music.

Amazon also announced its Black Friday deals yesterday, just a few weeks after it officially launched its Black Friday Deal Store in early November. Through the Deal Store, Prime members are eligible for additional perks like a 20% discount on pre-order and new release video games, as well as two-day shipping on more than 30 million items, among other things.
