Celebrities took to Twitter to show off their voting day selfies and encourage their followers to do the same. Music powerhouse Taylor Swift snapped a photo as she stood in line at a polling place, tweeting it out to her 81.7 million followers with the message: “Today is the day. Go out and VOTE.” Actress Halle Berry showed off a hat with multiple “I voted” stickers and fashion designer Marc Jacobs tweeted a thumbs up with a sticker over his mouth.

Many of the high-power celebs used Twitter as a platform to encourage their fans to head to the polls and fulfill their civic duty.
