One company is taking toy-making to the next level.
FCTRY, a production design company based in Brooklyn, New York is officially accepting pre-orders for its Donald Trump action figure—a parody with a cause.
Dubbed as an “over re-action figure,” the dolls mock the Republican nominee, describing him with “Twitter-sized hands approved by little Marco Rubio,” “sturdy and durable shoes for stepping on people,” “removable hair for easy cleaning,” and a “large, rotating head to hold unique ideas,” just to name a few.
But the company’s mission goes beyond just making people laugh. If FCTRY reaches its $15,000 crowd-funding goal by election day, five percent of the profits from each Trump action figure will go to Border Angels, a non-profit that helps Mexican immigrants.
The fund boasts over 600 supporters, and has already reached $13,000 of its $15,000 goal with more than 60 days remaining until the election.
The same company was behind an action figure of former Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders, which raised close to $250,000 on the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter. FCTRY also makes a “Ready for Action” Hillary Clinton action figure, as well as one of President Barack Obama.
“As an artist, my goal is to create products that are fun, quirky and push the envelope a bit,” said Jason Feinberg, CEO and Creative Director of FCTRY. “We were pretty hesitant to make the Trump action figure, but knew that it was going to make a splash once we added the raised middle finger and found the perfect cause to donate a portion of the proceeds to.”
The Trump action figure is $20, and buyers will be issued a refund if the company does not meet its goal. You can order a Trump action figure here.
