The Girl Scouts Just Unveiled Two New Cookies

August 10, 2016, 7:21 PM UTC

The 2016 cookie season is over, but we’re already excited for the next one.

To celebrate 100 years of selling cookies, the Girl Scouts unveiled two new offerings today on Good Morning America. Today, National S’mores Day, was a particularly appropriate time to debut them since they’re both varieties of S’mores cookies. Though you can’t get Girl Scout cookies ahead of selling season, they will be available come 2017.

According to the Girl Scouts’ website, the first is “a crispy graham cookie double dipped in a creme icing and enrobed in a chocolatey coating.” The second is “a crunchy graham sandwich cookie with a chocolate and marshmallowy filling.”

The Girl Scouts added three new cookies last year as well, including two gluten free options. That marked the first time in the organization’s history that it offered gluten-free options nationwide. In addition to new cookie flavors, the group also partnered with Pillsbury to launch its own line of baking mixes this year.

The new S’mores cookies will be easier to get next season with the Girl Scouts’ new e-commerce initiative, Digital Cookie, which was introduced last year. Not only does it help boost sales, but it also teaches young girls about relevant tech and business skills.
