Apparently it’s hard to find love if you support Donald Trump.
That was the idea behind David Goss’s decision to launch TrumpSingles.com, a dating website for Trump supporters. The 35-year-old told the New York Post that he had heard horror stories of dates gone awry when the subject of politics comes up, including one woman whose date simply got up and left her with the check when she mentioned her predilection for the businessman-turned-politician.
“I think there’s a special stigma when people say they’re supporting Trump, because of some of the brash things that he’s said,” Goss told the Post. “That immediately gets [projected] on his supporters, and it makes it hard for them when trying to date.” He stresses that this is not a “hookup service,” but rather it’s intended to help people “find real love.” The website launched in May and has since garnered about 500 users. A mobile app is scheduled to launch sometime next week.

Like most other dating websites, TrumpSingles.com lets you filter potential matches based on gender, age, distance, and interests. Most of the people “making dating great again” are based in New York City, Los Angeles, and D.C. It’s free to sign up if you want to send just one message a day; if you’re planning on using it more frequently, there’s a $4.95 monthly fee.
“At first I was concerned that people would think this was a parody site,” Goss told the Post. “But people have told me that they’re so happy they can finally go on dates without worrying about political differences.”
