Thirteen years after a public comment against then-president George. W. Bush lead to a backlash from country fans and nearly destroyed their career, the superstar trio are again getting political.

Their target this time? Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

Natalie Maines, 41, Martie Maguire, 46, and Emily Robison, 43, kicked off the American leg of their current world tour in Cincinnati on Wednesday, showing a defaced picture of the 69-year-old businessman to their sold-out crowd.

The devil-horned image came as the Chicks performed “Goodbye Earl”—the country anthem about a woman killing her abusive husband.

Maines has long lashed out against Trump, tweeting in January that his “decisions for America are as solid as his decision about his hair.”

In March 2003 while performing in London, Maines spoke out against Bush and the war in Iraq, saying “Just so you know, we’re ashamed the President of the United States is from Texas.”

The comment led to death threats and caused country-music radio stations to ban the Chicks. They would later triumph over the uproar three years later with their song “Not Ready to Make Nice”—the band’s biggest hit in the US to date.

“I apologized for disrespecting the office of the President,” Maines told Time on the eve of the single’s release. “But I don’t feel that way anymore. I don’t feel he is owed any respect whatsoever.”

The Chicks are currently headlining their first tour in 10 years.
