Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban was critical of the referees during the Mavs’ 128–120 loss to the Warriors on Friday night.
While criticizing the officiating is nothing new for Cuban, Friday appeared to be the first time Cuban used Twitter to voice a very specific complaint during a game. After a traveling call on Dallas center Salah Mejri in the second quarter, Cuban directed a pointed critcism at referee Derrick Stafford.
“Derrick Stafford has mailed it in,” Cuban wrote. “That travel was not a travel and the no calls. Rick [Carlisle] needs to get a tech.”
Cuban then criticized the NBA’s referee management team in a tweet directed at reporters.

Cuban has been fined numerous times in his career for comments about officiating, a sum totaling over seven figures. He is not traveling with his team during their current road trip.
Dallas entered Saturday at 35–37, holding on to the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
