Adding to his list of victories, Donald Trump has won the Virginia primary, according to CNN projections.
This is a big victory for the Trump campaign. Virginia is a key swing state in the general election. He’s also won Georgia, Alabama, Massachusetts, and Tennessee. The differences between these states could be a sign that Trump’s support is broader than some have thought.
The major prize for the night, Texas, is still to come. A win there for Trump, in Ted Cruz’s home state, would be a backbreaker.
Marco Rubio came in second in Virginia.
