One of the stranger moments from last week’s Republican presidential debate was when Rand Paul eluded to rival Jeb Bush having smoked marijuana while he was a teenager. When Paul didn’t name his rival as the former toker, Bush admitted that it was him, saying that “So, 40 years ago I smoked marijuana.”
Today, Donald Trump decided to have a little bit of fun with that particular bit of video.
In an Instagram post, Trump first showed several clips of the former Florida governor talking about immigration and other political issues, including the infamous interview where he calls illegal immigration “an act of love.”
Then, we see Bush talk about his marijuana usage. Then, Trump goes in for the kill.
The caption “Are we sure it was only forty years ago?” appears on screen in white text, essentially implying that Jeb Bush’s policy positions are so terrible that he’d have to be high to have them. Trump also captioned the picture “Jeb has been confused for forty years.”
Once again proving that, no matter what you think of his policies, Trump is the greatest troll we’ve ever had as a major presidential candidate.
