Nintendo is expected to release a Mega Yarn Yoshi Amiibo on November 15, Engadget reports.
For those of you unfamiliar with the gadget, an Amiibo is a toy figurine that uses near field communication (NFC) technology to interact with certain Nintendo consoles, including the Wii U. These figurines brought in some much needed revenue for the company after the Wii U proved to be the least successful system in the history of Nintendo. Since it started to sell Amiibo, the company noticed a rise in Wii U sales.
The new Mega Yarn Yoshi, an oversized version of the Yarn Yoshi which comes out one month earlier, is Nintendo’s biggest Amiibo. It is priced at $39.99 and is expected to sell out very quickly.
The figurine will be compatible with the games Yoshi’s Wooly World, Super Smash Bros. and Mario Kart 8.
