The surprising item White Castle is keeping on the menu

White Castle said Tuesday it’s keeping its new Veggie Slider as a year-round item, following a run as a limited-time promotional item.

“There’s a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow for Cravers everywhere who have made it known that the Veggie Slider should continue to be offered as one of the hot and tasty sandwiches on the White Castle menu,” said Jamie Richardson, White Castle vice president, in a St. Patrick’s Day statement.

White Castle’s Veggie Slider is made of carrots, zucchini, peas, spinach, broccoli and more. Here’s what the Veggie Slider looks like:

White Castle is a privately-held company with all of its locations owned by the company, making it an exception from the fast food franchise norm in the U.S.
