Google has selected London as the home for its first Google-branded store.

The search engine giant’s “Google Shop” will feature “an immersive surround-screen installation” where users can “fly” through any part of the planet through Google Earth. Sounds far out.

The store will also have a wall where visitors can virtually spray paint their own original design for the Google (GOOG) logo. That’s just smart branding — just think of all the Instagram photos.

Like Apple (AAPL), Google hopes to host regular classes and events for the public at its store, The Wall Street Journal reports. Topics will include how to keep secure online and learning how devices work, the paper said.

Other tech firms, including Amazon (AMZN) and Microsoft (MSFT), have opened physical stores to reach consumers beyond their computers.
