This map shows the home states and zip codes of all of the Fortune 500 companies. We found a few surprises along the way. New York leads the state tally, with 54 Fortune 500 companies within its borders. But the most popular zip code? That’s 77002, a neighborhood of Houston, Texas that’s home to energy company Enterprise Products Partners (#56), engineering company KBR (#360), and urban necessity Waste Management (#207).

The states with Fortune 500 companies are in blue, and the deeper the blue, the more Fortune 500 companies are headquartered in that state. Zip codes are noted in yellow.
