FORTUNE — As if we didn’t already know that Apple’s (AAPL) iOS rules on this side of the pond, Chitika Insights reported Thursday that 53.1% of the U.S. and Canadian smartphone traffic in April came from iPhones — more than all the other smartphones combined, including those running Android (GOOG), BlackBerry (BBRY) and Microsoft Phone (MSFT).
Chitika bases these stats on mobile ad impressions — several hundred million in all — reported as “North American” even though there’s a lot of North America not covered by their survey (like Mexico, for starters).
