The Blackstone Group has agreed to acquire Pactera Technology International Ltd. (Nasdaq: PACT), a China-based provider of global consulting and technology services, for approximately $625 million. Blackstone originally had offered to buy the company for $7.50 per share, before later reducing its bid to $7 per share. Today’s agreement works out to $7.30 per share. Alchemy Systems, a Texas-based portfolio company of The Riverside Co., has merged withCatalyst Awareness, an Ontario-based provider of employee-awareness communications programs for retailers. No financial terms were disclosed. www.Catalystawareness.com

TigerLogic Corp. (Nasdaq: TIGR) has agreed to sell its Multidimensional Database ManagementSystems business to Rocket Software, a portfolio company of Court Square Capital Partners. The deal is valued at approximately $22 million in cash. www.tigerlogic.com
