The Carlyle Group and Onex Partners plan to sell 22 million shares of Allison Transmission (NYSE: ALSN), an Indianapolis-based maker of vehicle transmissions, via a secondary public offering. The deal would be valued at around $523 million, based on last Friday’s closing price of $23.79 per share. Allison went public in March 2012 at $23 per share. PowerSecure International Inc. (Nasdaq: POWR) has acquired Solais Lighting Inc., a Stamford, Conn.-based maker of LED lamps and fixtures for commercial and industrial applications.
