Nestlé SA has received Mexican antitrust approval to sell Pfizer Inc.’s (NYSE: PFE) infant formula business in Mexico to a third party. www.nestle.com

The Carlyle Group and Onex Partners plan to sell 22 million shares of Allison Transmission (NYSE: ALSN), an Indianapolis-based maker of vehicle transmissions, via a secondary public offering. The deal would be valued at around $523 million, based on last Friday’s closing price of $23.79 per share. Allison went public in March 2012 at $23 per share. The sale would drop each firm’s ownership from 40.7% to between 33.9% and 34.8%. www.allisontransmission.com

PowerSecure International Inc. (Nasdaq: POWR) has acquired Solais Lighting Inc., a Stamford, Conn.-based maker of LED lamps and fixtures for commercial and industrial applications.
