From the filings: PE/VC fund notes

Some assorted fund notes from the SEC reference room:

*** Earlier this year we reported on the formation of Silver Lake Kraftwerk, an energy-focused growth equity platform formed by Silver Lake Partners and Soros Fund Management. Principals include Adam Grosser (ex-Foundation Capital), Raj Atlaru (DFJ) and Cathy Zoi (DoE). At the time we reported that the firm was seeking around $1 billion for its debut fund. Now there is a regulatory filing suggesting a $1.25 billion cap with $206 million already committed.

*** Two new docs confirm what we already knew: Apax Partners is seeking €9 billion for its next Europe-focused buyout fund, as we first reported in March. Also, Platinum Equity Partners is raising upwards of $3.5 billion for its third fund (with Park Hill as placement agent). Neither has held a first close.

*** 137 Ventures has secured nearly $35 million for its debut fund. This is a stealthy San Francisco-based shop whose principals include Justin Fishner-Wolfson (ex-Founders Fund), Kathy Chan (ex-Facebook) and Alex Jacobson (Shop.com founder, ImmunePath co-founder and ex-EIR with Founders Fund).
